		<description>Hi Anarkali,

Thanks for your response to Nietzsche´s Ghost, and sorry for the slight delay in replying. I´m old-fashioned, and not quite up to speed with blogging and internet communication. That´s why.

Your response was quite surprising to me, in fact - I´m not happy with the Nietzsche´s Ghost article at all.

As for Rilke. Which part of his work appeals most is dependent upon your religious orientation, I guess. Rilke was himself quite religious when he wrote his best-known early work, the Book of Hours/Stunden-Buch. If you´re into religion or New Age, that might be a good place to start.

For atheists and agnostics, the late work, particularly the (rather hard-to-read) Duineser Elegien/Duino Elegies and Sonnette an Orpheus/Sonnets to Orpheus. If you want to sort of dip in to Rilke, the Neue Gedichte/New Poems from his middle period demand less of a sustained effort.

Hope that helps, and please get back in touch if you have any more questions.

Yours sincerely,
